Event Details

The 2016 Boston Comedy Arts Festival covers 3 stages and features Improv, Sketch, and StandUp Comedy.

Saturday, September 10 @ 11:30pm, Main Theater
Featured Acts:

CD Shultz
"CD Schultz is a stand up comedian and filmmaker from Philadelphia, PA. He’s known for his awkward, deadpan delivery of embarrassing confessions, oddball observations, and some of the strangest solutions to society’s most important problems. CD’s a winner of the bi-annual Philadelphia Comedy Academy “Best Stand-Up” contest, hosted by Helium Comedy Club Philadelphia. He’s also been selected to perform at the 2016 Laughing Devil Comedy Festival in NYC, Charm City Comedy Festival in Baltimore, MD, and the Highlarious Comedy Festival in Seattle, WA."

John Sartori
"John Sartori is a comic based in New York City. He has been performing stand up, sketch, and improv comedy in and around NYC for years, and has written and performed at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre for shows such as Maude Night, Characters Welcome, and That's Bullshit! He also makes videos with his appropriately named group: VDO BROS. He can beat anybody in that Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game because he was once an extra on The Following and got to stand right next to Kevin while putting down his backpack."

Krista Atkinson
"Krista grew up in Southern Illinois where the cows and corn are plentiful. As soon as she possibly could she got out of all that fresh air to pursue the life of a Chicago city gal. Don’t let her classy outfits and heels fool you– she has a potty-mouth! Divorce, d**k pics, dating, and dashed dreams: it's all fair game for this brassy, brazen, bawdy blonde who has lived a full life and has a lot to say about it.
Since her move to Chicago, Krista has trained in improv at The Second City and The Annoyance and stand-up with Feminine Comique. Krista has performed all over the world at places including Zanies Comedy Clubs, Laugh Factory, Chicago Women's Funny Festival, SheDot Festival in Toronto, UP Comedy Club at Second City, and Broadway Comedy Club and Greenwich Village Comedy Club in NYC. She has toured LA on the JDA Does LA Tour, NYC on the JDA Does NYC Tour, and the Midwest on the Rainbow Connections Comedy Tour."

Nicole Conlan
"Nicole Conlan is a comic and writer living in Brooklyn. She's a writer for Funny or Die’s News Flash, a contributor to Above Average, a sketch writer for UCB's Maude Night, and she performs sketch and improv with her group Stevedore. Nicole works for SB Nation, following jobs at Gawker (Jalopnik), Sports Illustrated, and a weird gym she doesn't like to talk about. She's appeared at SF Sketchfest, Laugh Your Asheville Off, Boston Comedy Arts Festival, Hell Yes Fest, Crom Comedy Fest, the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival and a lot of weird basements around New York."

Ryan Shane Singer
"Ryan Shane Singer is an urban planner with over a decade of experience. In 2015 Ryan made the jump from playing community board meetings and city council hearings to stand-up where there are fewer hecklers. A gay, white guy living in the South Bronx, Ryan rides a unicorn, knows a Sasquatch and brings a perspective on life, news, politics and public transit that is both accessible and different. Ryan has trained at the American Comedy Institute in New York City with Stephen Rosenfield, Lexi Cullen-Baker and Andrew Ginsberg. He’s appeared at Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, Eastville Comedy Club, The 13th Street Comedy Show and The Triple Crown Ale House. Find out why the New York Times called Ryan, “…some City bureaucrat."

Seth Cowles
"Seth Cowles is a Boston-born comic who started doing stand-up after he moved to Texas and graduated college. With his mother being Jewish and his father Catholic, Seth has developed an interesting outlook on religion and the world around him. He provides unique social commentary and an array of stories from his life that need to be heard to be believed."

V Lince
"Up and Coming comedian from New York. I've been performing stand-up comedy for five years at some of New York's finest clubs including Broadway Comedy Club, Gotham Comedy Club and New York Comedy Club. I recently performed at The Black Friday Comedy Marathon in Philadelphia and currently host the Laughing Buddha Ladies Mic. My next venture is branching onto the road."
