• AB 628 - Appliance Requirements: Landlords must provide and maintain a working stove and refrigerator in every rental unit (must be less than 10 years old and replaced if recalled). • AB 1248 - "Junk Fee" Ban (Proposed): Landlords can only charge rent and limited fees (like security deposits and utility pass-throughs. Extra or hidden "junk fees" will be banned. • AB 1414 - Tenant Internet Opt-Out: Tenants can opt out of paying for internet service bundled by a landlord or property manager. If a landlord refuses, the tenant can deduct that cost from rent. •
