Please join us for the Bay Area DataFest 2019 a user community event which will feature products around Big Data, IOT and AI & ML Services on Azure.  It will provide a foundation for architecting and solidifying your Data Platform and AI strategy.

Justin Borgman is the Founder and CEO of Starburst
Justin Borgman is the Founder and CEO of Starburst, the Presto company. Presto is an open source SQL engine for quickly accessing data in a variety of data sources, including Azure Blob and ADLS. Previously, Justin was Vice President and General Manager at Teradata, where he was responsible for the company’s portfolio of Hadoop products. Prior to joining Teradata, Justin was co-founder and CEO of Hadapt, the pioneering "SQL-on-Hadoop" company that transformed Hadoop into an enterprise data warehouse. Hadapt was acquired by Teradata in 2014. Justin earned a BS in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.


Asad Khad, Director of Program Management in Azure Data engineering group
Asad Khan, is Director of Program Management in Azure Data engineering group. Currently he lead the product and program management of SQL Server and the SQL based PaaS services in Azure. This includes SQL Server on-premises business, SQL Server on Linux, Azure SQL DB, Azure SQL MI, as well as the SQL hosting business in other Clouds. In the past, Asad used to run the Big Data Services in Azure, which includes Azure Databricks and the HDInsight service, which are the open source analytics offerings on Azure. he has spent the last few years working on Data technologies and building Cloud Services. He enjoys working with large enterprises to modernize their data pipeline and enable intelligent applications. He is passionate about building new businesses and leading organizations to build great products that impact people and organizations. He has a master’s degree from Stanford University.
