From the pioneering work of Joaquim Calado to the vibrant rhythms of Brazil’s Northeast, each piece highlights the many musical currents that shaped samba and bossa nova. Select works are newly arranged by some of Brazil’s most talented rising stars, bringing fresh perspectives to this extraordinary tradition.
