About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Join us to discover the soul of Basque cuisine, where a few simple ingredients transform into unforgettable dishes. In this course, you’ll learn the foundational techniques and flavor principles that have made the Basque Country the region with more Michelin stars per capita than anywhere else in the world.

Tucked between the Cantabrian Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean — coastline, rolling hills, and misty forests, Basque cuisine has been influenced by its geography between Spain and France, its maritime traditions, and its agricultural heritage. The region has maintained culinary independence while absorbing elements from neighboring cultures. Basque cooking proves that true excellence lies in simplicity.

Our chefs Marc and Gabe have planned a culinary journey through the Basque Country for you beginning with Pintxos (or pinchos) the Basque version of tapas — small, flavorful bites usually served on a piece of bread and often skewered with a toothpick. From there, they'll craft a main course centered around the freshest locally sourced meat or fish, thoughtfully prepared to showcase the clean, vibrant, and harmonious flavors of Basque cuisine.

The dinner will feature a cheese course with Formaggio Kitchen's unique selection of Spanish cheeses, and a traditional Basque dessert.

Each course will be expertly paired with a Spanish wine, cider, and possibly vermouth to make your tour complete.

We invite you to join us on this very special journey.
