Basketweaving
Overview
Baskets have been a useful part of the household since before written history. Even into the 20th Century, baskets were used for shopping, harvesting and storing garden produce, and carrying laundry around. Today they are often an admired decorative item about the house.
We are lucky enough to have had two basket weavers (among other skills) recently join our coop. one of them, Connie Deese Christman, will be teaching this workshop. The Gizzard Basket is a workhorse of a little basket and many, including myself, think it is one of the easiest baskets to make. Join us on June 14 and make one for yourself.
Limit of ten participants. Cost is $55 per person, all materials provided.
