NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course

Join us at the Silver Eagle Group for a hands-on course covering the fundamentals of pistol shooting. This class is ideal for first-time shooters and for experienced shooters looking for a structured refresher to build confidence, safety, and accuracy.

You’ll learn:

• Firearm safety rules and safe gun handling
• Basic pistol operation
• Proper loading and unloading
• Shooting fundamentals
• Gun cleaning and maintenance
• Range etiquette and safe range procedures
  
  All training is conducted under expert supervision.

Course format:

• 6.5 hours classroom instruction, followed by range qualification
• Price includes the range fee
• No live ammunition is allowed in the classroom

Ammunition & rentals:

• Students will need one box of ammunition (9mm or .40 caliber)
• Firearms may be rented at SEG

Certificate:
Upon successful completion, certificate can be used to apply for the Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit.
