Hello CPP Building Marshals & Floor Captains!

As promised, we are moving forward with targeted emergency management training for our campus, 1st responders.

The first training in the series is Basic First Aid/Triage/Blood Control Training.

Please RSVP to one of the three dates in this invite to lock in one of the 15 spots (per session) available.

We will have two more classes on Dec. 1st and Feb. 1st, 2018 if you miss this opportunity.

This training is FREE.

You have to be a current registered Building Marshal, or Floor Captain with our office to be eligible.

Course Overview

First Aid Training

This class meets OSHA standards and requirements for Basic First.

Students will learn the basics of first aid when it comes to on job site injuries and how to handle such

emergencies.

Topics to be covered include but are not limited to:

• Shock

• Heart Attack & Strokes

• Seizures

• Burns

Triage Safety Training

This course is designed to give the student knowledge of how to properly assess,

prioritize and treat large numbers of victims in the event of an emergency. Triage is an

excellent compliment for those who are First Responders and expected to assist in a

workplace emergency. Course is made up of lecture and hands-on scenario.

Course Objectives:

I. Determine what to do when first arriving at a multi-casualty incident

II. Assess (triage) a patient in less than one minute

III. Describe how to use patients with minor injuries to assist with basic first-aid

IV. Demonstrate the use of the triage tag

V. Learn through hands-on scenarios

B-Con – Bleeding Control

This course teaches participants the basic life-saving medical interventions, including

bleeding control with a tourniquet, bleeding control with gauze packs or topical

hemostatic agents, and opening an airway to allow a casualty to breathe. The course is

designed for NON-tactical law enforcement officers, firefighters, security personnel,

teachers and other civilians requiring this basic training. Course materials include a

PowerPoint presentation and instructor notes, instructor’s guide,
