Learn how to train your furry friend at our "Basic Dog Training" classes at the Harrison Campus starting on March 12, 2026.

Harrison Campus | Ken Kerswill Theatre Lab

This class meets on Thursdays: Thursdays: March 12, 19, 26, April 2 and 9, 2026 from 6:30-7:30 PM.

This class will teach you how to work with your dog around distractions in Come, Stay, and Walking. You'll also work as a team on Greetings, Heel in fast and slow, and Leave it. Plus, you'll get to introduce your dogs to basic manners, and much much more.

Guidelines:

  • Two handlers are permitted with each dog

Must have:

  • Proof of shot records
  • 4 or 6-foot leash
  • Treats

Not allowed:

  • Aggressive dogs are not allowed
  • Prong collars, choke chains, and retractable leashes
  • For safety purposes, children under 5 years of age are not allowed to attend class.

Instructor: Michele Henderson

Michele has been training dogs for over 15 years and has owned dogs of many different shapes and sizes herself. Michele holds titles in many dog sports such as canine freestyle and dog dancing. She holds a 4-time world championship title in dog dancing. She now travels and performs with the Coke-A-Cola dog team performing with 8 dogs in dog dancing, agility, and high jumping.
