Overview
Beginner Crochet Class, learn the basic techniques to make simple crochet projects.
Want to learn to crochet? Don't know a thing? You've come to the right class! In this class, you will learn how to do basic stitches and simple techniques that you will need for almost every crochet project!
You will go home with:
- 1 skein of Red Heart yarn
- 1 crochet hook (Size I-9)
- Scissors
- 1-2 small completed project (a bracelet and/or a small square)
We will only be going over basics. Please see below for the techniques we may cover in class. Please note everyone taking class must be on the same page for us to continue to the next technique.
Techniques:
- Holding the Yarn properly
- Slip Knot and Yarn Over
- Chain Stitch
- Single Crochet
- Double Crochet (if we have time)
- Changing Colors (if we have time)
- Turning / Making a Square (if we have time)
- Magic Circle (if we have time)
- Fastening / Ending the project
Great for ages 12 and above, all children under the age of 10 must have a guardian present to assist them.
