Learners gain a comprehensive understanding of automotive brake theory, key components, and safe maintenance techniques, while developing professional workmanship and communication for entry-level industry roles. Course Learning Outcomes
- Perform complete vehicle brake inspections and service, including measurement, evaluation, and refinishing of base brake friction, hydraulic, wheel bearing, parking brake, and power assist components.
- Diagnose and repair conventional and anti-lock brake systems with safe, professional, and ethical shop practices using industry-standard tools and procedures.
- Communicate inspection results and repair recommendations clearly and professionally, using correct industry terminology with customers and co-workers.
