Barrelhouse @ The Distant Whistle Brewhouse

Barrelhouse is an acoustic blues/rock duo featuring Bob Scooneas (harmonicas/vocals) and Mitch Kachun (acoustic guitar/resonator guitar/vocals). Influences include 1920s jug bands, Delta and Chicago blues, and the 1960s blues-rock revival. We cover songs popularized by Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Doors, Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers, Hot Tuna, Paul Butterfield, etc. We also cover classic blues performers like Robert Johnson, Elmore James, Leadbelly, Mississippi John Hurt, Howling Wolf, Junior Wells, Jimmy Reed and others, along with some originals. We play a lot of songs most people will recognize, as well as some less familiar tunes that we love.
