About this event

Arts • Fine Art

Are murals imaginative, and are they illustrations, even if not on the pages of books? Despite the differences of scale and medium there is a relationship. Alan Powers will use the material from the exhibition that he and Neil Jennings curated earlier in 2025 at the Fry Art Gallery, Saffron Walden, to explore the relationship with reference to Ravilious, Bawden and other artists from Great Bardfield who worked across different disciplines and media.

The meeting room opens at 18:30. The talk starts at 19:00.
Wine and nibbles will be served before the talk.

The meeting takes place in the Gradidge Room, accessible by a flight of stairs only.

This event is organised by IBIS, the Imaginative Book Illustration Society. This is a "ticket only" event to which all Members and Guest are invited.
