Celebrate Banned Books Week with us at Judging By The Cover on Tuesday, October 7th at 6 PM!
We’re proud to partner with Libro.fm for a community read-in dedicated to honoring banned and challenged books. The evening will begin with a short welcome and overview of book bans. Attendees can redeem their free audiobook copy of Lula Dean’s Little Library of Banned Books at the beginning of the event, in case you'd like to listen or read along during the silent read-in. You’re also welcome to bring your own banned book or pick one to purchase from our shelves.
After the read-in, we’ll gather for an interactive activity: postcard-writing to local and federal leaders. It's a simple but powerful way to advocate for the freedom to read. We’ll provide supplies and prompts to help your message shine.
