The Balzekas Museum of Lithuanian Culture invites you to a Live Table Reading of Alondra’s Worst Day Ever on Friday, June 6th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Join us for an unforgettable evening of live theater at the Balzekas Museum of Lithuanian Culture. Experience a dynamic table reading of Alondra’s Worst Day Ever, an original short play by Paloma Lozano. Watch as the playwright and a talented cast bring the story to life in this unique setting.

Following the reading, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in an interactive Q&A with the playwright and actors, gaining valuable insights into the creative process and the art of storytelling. Plus, explore the museum’s exhibits and immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of Lithuania.

Event Facilitator: Paloma Lozano

Paloma Lozano is a Mexican American multi-hyphenate theater artist from the Southwest side of Chicago. A graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago with a BA in Theater and Performance, she is also an alumna of Atlantic Acting School. Lozano’s recent work includes a stage reading of Romero, which premiered at Steppenwolf, Centro Romero, and UIC, and directing and writing Limerent: Psychosis of the Heart for Rhinofest at Chicago Dramatists in June 2024. She has also worked as assistant director for Que Te Vaya Bien, part of Destinos: 7th Chicago International Latino Festival at Greenhouse Theater. Currently, she is involved in Theater Momentum’s The Porch, a dramatic improv show.
