Bad Art Block - Prompted Drawing Workshop
Overview
Embark on a guided journey into the drawn unknown — and out of the chokehold we all know as art block.
Hosted by Brisbane artist Tash Stokes (founder of the Brisbane Bad Art Group), this online workshop invites you to meet creative block as it is, rather than the stories we tell ourselves about it. Through a series of fast-paced, low-pressure drawing prompts, you’ll learn to loosen your grip on perfection and rediscover your creative flow.
You’ll be among the first to experience the brand-new Bad Art Block Prompt Cards — a playful tool designed to help artists and non-artists alike reconnect with their imagination. Together, we’ll venture into the messy, unpredictable, and deeply human space where creativity actually lives.
Come ready to experiment, to laugh, and to leave your inner critic at the door.
What to expect:
🎨 Guided prompt rounds to break through creative ruts
💬 Reflective discussion and community connection
🌀 A safe, supportive environment to take risks and play
✏️ Bring Your Own materials — use whatever you love (pencil, pen, paint, iPad, etc.) and something to draw on. Bare in mind, we will be doing a few drawings so have a few surfaces at the ready!
Please note:
This is a community experience, please be prepared with a working camera and microphone so that we can all get to know you! I know it can be intimidating to share yourself online but please trust that this is a safe space to show up as you are, bad art, flaws and all.
Also, this is an English speaking event.
This is a paid event.
Once you have purchased your tickets, you will receive an email with a link to the event.
