Class Description:

This class teaches a history of cross connections, the principles of backflow protection, how to identify low hazard vs high hazard environments, the different devices and assemblies used and their strengths and weaknesses. We will cover not only the information in chapter 6 of the Oregon Plumbing Specialty Code (OPSC), but also OARs and EPA documentation. By the end of this class you will better understand the requirements of backflow protection and the best device, assembly or method for achieving proper backflow protection. This class does not cover testing of backflow assemblies. You will receive 8 hours of continuing education credit for this class for both Oregon and Washington.
