About this event

    Schools in minority communities are underfunded and often lack the resources for teachers and students to succeed. Our goal is to ensure that the needs of the teachers and the students they serve are met beyond the school district’s budget. We believe in the impact of education in our communities and strive to empower and support our community members in this area.

    BE Impactful & Community Change with Purpose aims to provide teachers and students with the necessary resources to succeed. The Back to School Bash ensures that teachers and students in our community have the resources they need to thrive during the school year. The event also allows community members to interact with one another. We curate events that connect donations and giveaways with community experiences.

    The Back to School Bash supplies will be divided into two categories: those for teachers and those for students. There will be various games, educational components, and food for everyone (while supplies last).

    Frequently asked questions

    Do students and teachers need to pre-register to receive the school supplies?

    While they do not NEED to pre-register to receive the supplies, registration does give us an idea of how many donations we should plan to have ready.

    Will teacher's and students have access to the same materials?

    We try to divide the supplies up based on individual portion (students) vs. group portion (teachers). For example, the student line may be allowed to grab two notebooks, whereas a teacher could grab five.

    Are you a 501c3? Are donations tax-deductible?

    Yes! BE Impactful has received their 501c3 designation from the IRS, so all donations count as tax write-offs. If you donate to BE Impactful, you will be emailed a receipt that you can use when you complete your taxes.
