Back To Our Roots Workshop

By Back to Our Roots (Youth Conservation Collective)

Overview

Join the CPAWS Youth Conservation Collective and Seed to Sage for a workshop on native planting, conservation, and climate action in Calgary

Join the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society's Youth Conservation Collective for an inspiring and interactive event with Kaleigh Schmidt, Landscape Designer and Owner of Seed to Sage. Together, we’ll explore how our everyday landscapes connect to bigger environmental stories — and how you can be part of the change.

What you’ll learn:

  • The history and culture behind residential grass lawns
  • How lawns impact conservation and climate change
  • Indigenous perspectives and the importance of native plants

After the talk, unleash your creativity by designing a postcard for action — your message for a greener Calgary!
