Back 2 Roots - Cultural Cooking Workshop

By The Amani Effect

Overview

Join our hands-on cultural cooking workshops series to explore African, Caribbean and Black cultures through cultural dishes and community.

Join us for our next Back 2 Roots, cultural cooking workshop - Martinique edition. It is a safe space for Black youth to learn, connect, and celebrate our roots through food & community.

As the weather cools down, we will be making a warm and comforting pairing of créole hot chocolate and butter bread.

This combination reflects a deep cultural heritage in Martinique, transforming a simple hot drink and bread into a significant, communal experience.

Please note that we will be making both of these staples dairy-free for this workshop.

This workshop is open to all Black youth ages 16–35.
