Join Ketchikan Indian Community, the Organized Village of Saxman, the Organized Village of Kake, and Tlingit and Haida, for a tribally-hosted reception during the 2025 AFN Convention, focused on protecting our shared lands and waters from the growing threats of transboundary mining. This gathering will bring together Tribal leaders, partners, and allies to raise awareness, strengthen our collective voice, and chart a unified path forward.
At the reception, we will discuss current transboundary mining concerns, the collective actions being advanced by sovereign Tribal governments, and the resolution being submitted during the 2025 AFN Convention. As many know, passing a resolution is only the first step—the true work begins afterward as we continue to advocate, organize, and hold decision-makers accountable.
Thanks to the generous support of the Southeast Indigenous Transboundary Commission, all expenses for this event are covered. We also extend our gratitude to Serranos Mexican Grill for hosting us during an especially busy AFN week.
We know there are many receptions during AFN, but we invite you to make time to join us. Our collective strength is needed to protect the lands, waters, and ways of life that sustain us all.
