ABOUT THE SHOW:

Join us on 10/26 for a dance performance at Aston Mills Arts featuring tap selections by the PAC Tappers and a new duet by collaborators Emie Hughes & Erin Woods Burke.

DOORS OPEN AT 1:40 PM

PAC Tappers:

The PAC Tappers is a small tap performing group based in Swarthmore that grew out of Bara Burden’s Advanced Tap class at the Park Avenue Community Center. In this split bill performance, they will showcase a selection of older & newer works choreographed by Bara Burden and two traditional tap pieces of James “Buster” Brown, Leonard Reed & Willie Bryant.

"partner // ships 1" by Emie Hughes & Erin Woods Burke:

In this site specific dance duet partner//ships 1 , collaborators Erin Woods Burke & Emie Hughes draw inspiration from Mother is a Verb (Sarah Knott), The Mother Artist (Catherine Ricketts), and Nightbitch (Rachel Yoder), as well as personal experience, to create an ever-evolving landscape of improvisation and unison. Together they create movement structures that strive to give themselves & each other the permission to explore play, creative process, mundane material, rest, mothering, and the joy of dancing alongside each other.
