About this event

This is a Berkeley Historical Society & Museum event presented at the historic Hillside Club. ECLAIR PASTRIES is the story of an immigrant family disrupted by the Holocaust, arriving in America with nothing but baking skills and treasured recipes, who through hard work achieved the American Dream. Peter will discuss his family’s background and the establishment of Eclair Pastries in 1947, and bring to life the amazing Telegraph Avenue of the 50s and 60s. He’ll talk about his experiences baking Eclair’s unique European specialties, from grammar school through graduate school. The book will be available for purchase (with author signature if desired) at the event.

Donations will be split between Berkeley Historical Society & Museum and Berkeley Historic Building Fund Hillside Club projects.
