About the Book: Yellow Flowers

What some call a weed, children and dreamers know as a wish.

Yellow Flowers is a lyrical, beautifully illustrated celebration of the dandelion, a flower often overlooked but full of resilience, magic, and meaning. From city sidewalks to wide meadows, dandelions remind us that strength can be quiet, beauty can be humble, and even the smallest seed carries hope.

Through flowing poetry and vibrant imagery, this timeless picture book invites readers, young and old, to see the world with new eyes. Perfect for bedtime reading, classroom discussions about nature, or as a gift to inspire wonder, Yellow Flowers shows that even in the cracks of the hardest concrete, life will always find a way to bloom.

  • Ages 4–8 (but loved by readers of all ages)
  • Ideal for classrooms, storytimes, and nature lovers
  • Hardcover, signed editions available

🌱 A story of resilience, renewal, and the quiet beauty hiding in plain sight.

About the Author

From the author, S. P. Lowe: "Hi! I am Shyreen and as a writer, I believe that words have the power to transport us to new worlds and help us see the beauty in everyday life. I discovered my love for storytelling at a tender age. Hours would slip away as I immersed myself in books, marveling at the power of words to create entire universes. It was during those moments that I realized my own gift for crafting captivating tales that ignite the imagination of children. I started writing poems as a way to put my thoughts into worlds, then it evolved into all these silly ideas. I finally decided to put them to good use!

My stories draw inspiration from my own childhood experiences and adult life, allowing me to weave relatable themes of friendship, courage, and self-discovery into the fabric of my narratives. I believe in creating endearing and diverse characters who reflect the rich tapestry of our world, enabling young readers to connect with their adventures and learn important life lessons along the way.

When I'm not writing, I enjoy spending time with my family and being the best cat mom to Moon I can be. I also enjoy exploring the city of Chicago, going to museums, spending time on the lake and trying new foods!

Remember, you are cherished and loved in every way."
