The Oxford American is excited to announce the first of two launch parties celebrating the release of its Austin Live! Music Issue + Vinyl LP on Saturday, December 13, at 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the iconic Waterloo Records in Austin, Texas [1105 N Lamar Blvd].

This event is free and open to the public, but reservations are encouraged.

Event-goers will be among the first to hear the Austin Live! compilation album, featuring live recordings by some of Austin’s most beloved music makers. The magazine and vinyl will be available for purchase, as will the newly released Austin Live! merch collection. We invite you to come and mingle with OA editors, contributors, and fellow lovers of music and writing.

In addition, guests will have the opportunity to meet the collaborators of the newly released Austin’s Music Scene: Your Guide to the City’s Most Iconic Artists & Venues—Editor in Chief Mitch Baranowski, Designer Chris Ritchie, and Photo Editor David Brendan Hall—who will be there signing copies of the book.

Special thanks to presenting partner, Waterloo Records, with additional support for and presence at the launch event from The Metropolis Apartments, Thunderhouse Media Group, and the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM). Supporting partner Big Country Organic Brewing will be there as well handing out free samples.

We are proud to continue this twenty-seven year tradition with another historic issue.
