August RING: Transitions (Also The 101 class)
In this class we will discuss adjusting levels to create our first suspension sequence. Cat and Jane will review proactive communication, building confidence, safety, active bottoming, and upline management with moving parts. If you are aspiring to suspend but not ready quite yet feel free to come watch!
Requirements for the class: You will need to know a suspendable chest and hip harness (other lower body ties can be used for comfort and accessibility), and uplines, and have practiced basic suspensions. I will not be teaching any of these elements, but I am happy to review specifics with folks ahead of time. Please bring at least 8 hanks of suspendable rope and your shears. Anyone without shears will not be allowed to tie during the class.
101 Rope Basics: In the classroom we will have our monthly Rope Basics Class, covering all the fundamental aspects on rope bondage! We've updated our presentation to include more material and teach a bit more to get you started on your rope journey. You'll learn a bit about the history of rope, how to choose the rope that's right for you, and what we like to discuss before tying with someone. You'll also learn a single column tie, how to extend rope, and frictions to complete your ties! Even if you've been to the Basics before, this might be a great refresher! If you need rope we have it to use and don't worry if you don't have a tying partner! We have extra limbs via furniture.
