Augmentative & Alternative Communications (AAC) Foundations
Overview
Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) Foundations, presented by the Open Access team, is open to all educators wanting to expand their knowledge in Augmentative and Alternative Communication.
This foundational training is designed for educators interested in developing their knowledge and skills in AAC. Participants will explore the purpose and principles of AAC, including an overview of communication systems and strategies that support students with complex communication needs.
The session will emphasize the importance of communication access for all students and provide practical tools for supporting AAC users in educational settings.
This course meets the qualifications for 12 continuing professional development units for Speech-Language Pathologists as required by the California Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology Licensing Board.
