Athenaeum Bier & Building Tour

Explore one of Indianapolis’s most beloved buildings on Indiana Landmarks’ adults-only tours of the historic Athenaeum, built as Das Deutsche Haus in the 1890s as a clubhouse for German immigrants. Sample traditional German fare, participate in fun activities, and see hidden spaces as you learn about this amazing building.

The ticket cost includes one beverage—a pint of beer or a soft drink—and three pre-selected appetizers. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate dietary preferences.

Indiana Landmarks presents these tours in partnership with the Athenaeum Foundation. Tours last approximately 75 minutes and depart from just inside the building entrance on the corner of East Michigan Street and North New Jersey Street (401 E. Michigan Street, Indianapolis).
