At the Gates: A Yom Kippur Neilah Immersive Journey
As Yom Kippur draws to its close, join us for At the Gates, an immersive Neilah journey of theater, meditation, and sacred ceremony. Guided by Rav Jericho and Temple of the Stranger band, The Miriams, we will walk the path of the ancient High Priest. Expect transformational experiences of ritual, song, meditation, chant, and sound bath, deep prayer and wild dance, a guided break fast, and the calling in of new blessings for the year ahead.
DRESS CODE: White garments that will enable you to journey into other dimensions: white lace, white corsets, white caftans, white wedding gowns, billowing white robes, white angelic wings or white shrouds.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the nature of this experience, there will be NO late entry. Please be on time. This immersive event includes optional ritualized vegetarian food experiences. The venue is accessible by a short flight of stairs. Throughout the evening, there may be periods of dim lighting, flashing lights, scent, and loud music or soundscapes. This event will be photographed and filmed. By attending, you consent to being recorded and for this media to be used in future promotional materials.
PLEASE BRING your own water bottle to aid in The Great Turning. You are welcome to take photos or video, as long as you aren't disturbing your own or anyone else's experience.
ADMISSION POLICY: Open to adult participants of all backgrounds, genders, and ethnicities. No prior knowledge is necesary. A capacity for deep presence and an openness to the possibility of awe is required.
After ceremony hang hosted by Temple of the Stranger Community Weaver Chloe Jacobs.
No one turned away for lack of funds---if you need a ticket at a lower cost, please email chloe@templeofthestranger.com. Tickets are limited and we expect to sell out, so please make sure to reserve yours asap.
