Overview

Assumptions about Self-Care (08131)

Presenters: Millie Shepich

Regular self-reflection is essential for identifying areas of need and strengthening personal self-care practices.
In this session, staff will:

  • Explore the beliefs and assumptions that influence their self-care habits—both those that support well-being and those that may hinder focus, stability, or confidence when interacting with others.
  • Build on practical strategies to expand and enhance their current self-care toolkit.

This session provides a supportive environment for educators to examine the role self-care plays in sustaining both personal and professional effectiveness. By deepening awareness, clarifying attitudes, and strengthening actionable strategies, participants will leave better equipped to maintain well-being and confidence throughout the school year.
