This three-day course is an intense study of hoists by instructor Dave Carmack: what makes them tick, and how to test them and abide by regulations. Students will take a test at the end of the course and will receive a certificate of completion upon passing.

This program goes beyond the traditional and offers a personal assessment. You will spend 2 days studying the ASME B 30.16 (Overhead Underhung and Stationary Hoists) and ANSI E 1.6-2 2020 Industrial Safety Standards, common and accepted field practices and troubleshooting techniques. You can become a HOIST WHISPERER.

  • You will completely open up a hoist to get hands-on experience with everything that was discussed in diagrams and pictures.
  • You will be taught troubleshooting techniques in creative and realistic scenarios.
  • You will dive deep into standards, regulations, and common market practices, to gain intimate knowledge of how and why these exist.
  • You will learn the importance of load- testing and record- keeping, and how to do so.
