About this event

Assembly in Action is an annual event for our elected officials to get a behind the scenes look at the important anti-hunger efforts in their community. Across the seven service areas of our member food banks, there will be chances to tour, volunteer, and network with the folks feeding Kentuckians. Whether you're a longtime volunteer, or this is your first time at one of our sites, we hope you'll leave empowered to serve the hungriest neighbors next legislative session.

Frequently asked questions

What should I wear?

Closed toe shoes, especially if you want to step into any of the warehouses. Other than that, dress comfortable!

What if I cannot attend any of the available dates?

What will the volunteer opportunity entail?

At the Dare to Care Main Distribution Center, volunteers help sort dry and canned goods into categories, or bag fresh produce that will be distributed to our agency partners and shared with our neighbors.
