About this Event

NOTE: IN LIGHT OF COVID-19, ALL SESSIONS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLINE VIA WEBINAR UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Attending these webinars will require a computer and reliable internet access. DO NOT COME TO CAMPUS FOR THESE SESSIONS. You will receive the invitation with a meeting link via the email address that you used to register for the event prior to the meeting.

This information session will provide general information about the new Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program, which will begin in the fall of 2020 at the Lanier Technical College, Forsyth campus. The ASN program is a two-year associate-level nursing program, and is a sequence of courses designed to prepare students for positions in the nursing profession. ASN graduates receive an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree. Graduates are then eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). Upon successful completion of the NCLEX-RN and licensure by the Georgia Board of Nursing (GBON), graduates are employable as entry-level registered nurses (RN's) in a variety of healthcare settings.

Information regarding the ASN Program can be viewed on the ASN webpage, which may be found at www.laniertech.edu/ASN. There will be a new ASN cohort starting every fall semester at the Forsyth campus only. The 2020 cohort has already been selected. The fall 2021 application submission period is March 16 - August 17, 2020; the application, instructions, and accompanying documentation information is posted on the ASN webpage.

You must be a current, fully accepted/admitted Lanier Technical College student at the time that you submit your application for the ASN ProgramThis does not mean that you must be actively taking classes at LTC; it means that you must have been fully admitted by the Admissions department, and you have submitted all required paperwork to Admissions. Also, you must not have any holds on your account.  If you are a LTC student and have not taken classes for 2 consecutive semesters or more, you must reapply for admission to Lanier Technical College.
