🌟 What is Project ACTION?
Project ACTION (Assembling Community To Improve Our Neighborhoods) is a collaborative, community-driven initiative based in Springfield, Vermont. Founded in 2014, the group brings together local residents, service providers, nonprofits, law enforcement, and civic leaders to address key community challenges—ranging from public safety and housing insecurity to mental health, substance misuse, and community well-being.
- These Project Action board members play a crucial role in guiding the group’s mission:
- Chief Jeff Burnham – Chair; leads with a focus on public safety and community trust.
- Mike Arace – Builds partnerships to support local development.
- Tara Chase – Guides programming in health, recovery, and inclusion.
