Ask-an-Archivist: University of Pittsburgh
Overview
Co-organized by Three Rivers Archivists and the University of Pittsburgh Archives Student Group, this panel discussion will give Pittsburgh-area archives graduate students the opportunity to hear from six archivists working in a broad range of institutions.
Students will hear from Charles Succop (Pittsburgh City Archives), Molly Tighe (WQED Multimedia), Frank J. Kurtik (archivist of the Pittsburgh City Photographer Collection and former archivist at the University of Pittsburgh and Heinz Family Foundation), Emily Davis (Carnegie Mellon University Archives), Alex Daniels (Carnegie Mellon University Archives), and Matt Gray (Andy Warhol Museum). These archivists will reflect on their own experiences in iSchool and answer crowd-sourced questions from the Student Archives Group on skill-building for the profession, the job market, professional development, the nitty-gritty of working the archives field, and more!
Pitt and Non-Pitt affiliates interested in the archives field are welcome to attend. Non-Pitt Affiliates, please sign up through the EventBrite so that we know where you're joining us from!
