ASIST - Training for Suicide Intervention and Prevention

Two-Day Interactive ASIST Workshop (Attendance Required Both Days)
Join us for a two-day, in-person workshop on December 17-18 at the Idaho Outdoor Fieldhouse in Boise. This training, led by knowledgeable facilitators, is the world’s leading suicide intervention program designed for community members, educators, health professionals, first responders, veterans, caregivers, counselors, and anyone committed to making a difference.
What You’ll Learn:
- Recognize signs of suicidal thoughts
- Engage in open, direct conversations about suicide
- Build a safety plan to provide immediate support
- Connect individuals with further help and resources

- Dates: December 17 & 18
- Time: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM daily (includes breaks and lunch)
- Location: Idaho Outdoor Fieldhouse, 3179 E Barber Valley Rd, Boise
- Cost: FREE (includes all materials and certification)
- Certification: Participants receive official LivingWorks ASIST certification upon completion
Who Should Attend:
Veterans, caregivers, counselors, first responders, healthcare providers, community members, and anyone interested in developing lifesaving skills.
Important Notes:
- This is an intensive training covering sensitive topics related to suicide, including discussions about pills, firearms, and bridges.
- Participants must attend both days (16 hours total) to be certified.
- CEUs are available—ask the trainers for more info.
- Please bring your own pens, notebooks, water, and personal items. All materials are provided.
