The ASID Texas San Antonio Design Community invites you to join us for our August Event, a CEU Lunch presented by Century taking place at the showroom of ASID Industry Partner and 2025 Chapter Bronze Sponsor KBK to the Trade:

Fabrice to Frame [CEU #110295 | GEN | 1 HR] | From the initial concept to the final stitch, custom upholstery tells a story of craftsmanship and creativity. This course explores how fabric selection, frame construction, and tailoring techniques come together to bring upholstered pieces to life. Through behind-the-scenes insights and practical examples, this course offers valuable knowledge for specifying and designing custom upholstery that reflects both beauty and function.

  • You must RSVP online via EventBrite. Registrations will close Monday, August 25th @ 5:00 PM when the 40 seats are filled, whichever comes first.
  • Please be prepared to type in your IDCEC # if you would like for the speaker to report your attendance to IDCEC for credit.
  • If you RSVP for a free ticket via Eventbrite and then discover you cannot attend, please be courteous by following these instructions to cancel your registration so that the Design Community volunteer organizers know and so someone can claim your spot.
  • There are no refunds for paid tickets, but a different person may attend in your place should you not be able to attend. You must let the volunteer organizers know.

The American Society of Interior Designers [ASID] is a community of people – designers, industry representatives, educators and students – committed to interior design. Through education, knowledge sharing and advocacy, the Society strives to advance the interior design profession and, in the process, to demonstrate and celebrate the power of design to positively impact and change people’s lives. Of the Society’s 24,000 Practitioners, 20% practice Residential design, 30% practice Commercial design, and 50% practice both.The ASID Texas Chapter represents 1,700+ Practitioner, Educator, Student and Industry Representative members (almost 1,100 of which are Practitioners and/or Educators) throughout the state of Texas excluding the greater Houston area, which is covered by the ASID Texas Gulf Coast Chapter. Since the Texas Chapter is quite large both in membership and in geographic expanse, most of the programming throughout the year takes place in the Design CommunitiesAustin, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, and West Texas. Our members work in both the residential and commercial fields, either as sole proprietors or as part of small or large firms. Within the state and around the world, they provide valuable services and useful products to their clients. Our members strive to improve the quality of life for all of their clients through the creation of aesthetically pleasing, thoughtful design that takes into account the health, safety and welfare of the public.
