About this event

This training opportunity is intended for South Carolina industrial and public entity energy managers. This course expounds the online ASHRAE COVID-19 details for reopening buildings and the Building Readiness Plan for HVAC systems. The expansion of details discussed in this course will help reiterate the fact that there are mitigation strategies available and help you understand what is a fit for your building, its systems specific arrangement and your needs. The intent of the plan is to assist in the re-occupancy of existing buildings through the evaluation of HVAC systems and how they can be altered to improve their ability to mitigate the transmission of a virus, like SARS-CoV-2 that creates the COVID-19 disease. The course will focus on the different engineering controls that can be applied to systems typically found in buildings. Concerns about your current designs and how to potentially future proof them for the next epidemic will also be discussed. More information about the course can be found on the ASHRAE website.
