Welcome to the Ashenda 5K: Run for Joy. Walk for Solidarity event!
This year, we’re launching our biggest annual Ashenda Festival celebration with a 5K Walk/Run to kickoff a community-centered week full of joy, empowerment, and cultural celebrations honoring Black women and girls. This annual celebration draws over 1,500 attendees and has been officially recognized by the Denver City Council. This 5K will be more than just a run. It’s a tribute to resilience, identity, #BlackGirlJoy and a chance for the wider Colorado community to come together in solidarity and celebration.
