As You Like It at Alnoba (with Theater in the Open)

Join us for a unique outdoor production of As You Like It, one of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies, filled with romance, wit, and self-discovery. This story follows Rosalind, a sharp and spirited heroine, who is banished from court along with her cousin Celia. Disguised as a young man for safety, Rosalind ventures into the Forest of Arden, where exiles, dreamers, and misfits have found a new kind of freedom away from the corruption of the city. Amidst the beauty of nature, disguises unravel, love blossoms, and characters discover their truest selves—before returning to civilization with a newfound understanding of joy, justice, and renewal.

This special performance, brought to you by Theater in the Open, will take place in locations that highlight both the ingenuity of human creation and the untamed beauty of the natural world, mirroring the play’s themes as we guide the audience alongside the actors on their journey from the "city" to the "country." We're happy to have Alnoba as the backdrop for this engaging performance!

Admission costs have been made more accessible, with all proceeds benefiting Sawyer Park in Kensington and Theater in the Open’s mission to bring accessible, high-quality theater to the community. • No dogs are permitted on the property.

Refund and weather policy

Tickets are non-refundable. Please note that all events at Alnoba are rain or shine. If an event is cancelled due to extreme weather you will receive an email notification. If you do not get an email notifying you that the event is cancelled, that means the event is still going forward as scheduled.
