Where can I park?

MIIS Irvine Auditorium: Limited MIIS Campus parking available at 499 Pierce St. Street parking in downtown Monterey is two hours. Lot parking can be found nearby at 438 Calle Principal. MMA La Mirada: Courtesy valet parking will be available to dinner guests at 720 via Mirada.

What is the Attire?

For the ArtWorlds at MIIS Program (3:00 pm – 5:00 pm) California Business Attire is recommended. For the Premier Dinner at La Mirada (5:00 pm to 8:00 pm) Creative Cocktail Attire is requested.

Question 3

If I purchase tickets to the Dinner, is my name on the list for the MIIS program?

Accepted Answer

Once you purchase seats for the Premier Dinner your name(s) will be added to the Will Call list for Premium Seating at the 3:00 pm Reception and Irvine Auditorium Program.  No ticket will be issue, your name is all you need to attend the ArtWorlds Program at MIIS.

Question 4

If I am attending ArtWorlds and the Premier Dinner, how should I get from MIIS to MMA La Mirada?

Accepted Answer

Please park at (or UBER to) MIIS for the 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm program and then drive(UBER) directly to La Mirada (720 Via Mirada) where there will be Valet Parking. Cocktails and small bites will be served from 5:00 pm – 5:45 pm in the La Mirada Rose Garden. Dinner will not be served until 6:00 pm.

Question 5

If I go to ArtWorlds at MIIS, can I upgrade to the Premium Dinner?

Accepted Answer

You may upgrade to the dinner, however, it is expected that Dinner Seating will sell out in advance as seating is limited. So it is recommended that you secure your Dinner seating in advance if you think you would like to join the evening Conversations.

Question 6

What if the Artist Table that I want is full? Can a seat be added to a table?

Accepted Answer

Once an Artist Table's seats are all sold/spoken for we cannot add seats to the table. All of the conversations will be inspiring, please select another Artist Table for the Premier Dinner experience.

Question 7

Can I purchase tickets for ArtWorlds at MIIS at the door?

Accepted Answer

We will sell tickets at the door for the 3:00 pm – 5:00 Program at the McCone Building at the door if there are seats available. It is general seating, with a section blocked off for Premium Seats for those attending the Premier Dinner at La Mirada after the ArtWorlds Program.

Question 8

Is the Premium Dinner at La Mirada tax deductible?

Accepted Answer

A large share of the ticket price for the Dinner experience is tax deductible after the cost of the dinner is accounted for. Patrons, Donors and those with Dinner Reservations will receive an acknowledgement letter from MMA outlining the tax-deductible portion for tax records and accounting.

Question 9

How do I become a Table Host at the Premier Dinner?

Accepted Answer

Table Hosts are offered to MMA Season Exhibition Patrons and Event Donors and those who make a $5000 contribution to be named a Table Host at this Fall Fundraiser. Table Hosts receive 4 seats at their requested table.

Question 10

Is my reservation/ticket transferable if I cannot attend?

Accepted Answer

MMA will honor transferring a seat both at the ArtWorlds Program and/or the Premier Dinner at La Mirada with 24 hour advance notice in order to accommodate seating and menu restrictions. If you need to transfer a ticket please call MMA at 831-372-5477 X 115 or email vip@montereyart.org.

Is this event all ages?

Accepted Answer

While the ArtWorlds program at MIIS welcomes all ages to attend, the Premier Dinner at La Mirada is a curated event suitable for guests 16+.
