Join us Wednesday, August 3rd at the Tampa Museum of Art for a discussion about arts education in our schools. We will be joined by Superintendent of Schools for Hillsborough County Public Schools, Addison Davis.

The Superintendent will provide information and answer questions regarding the "Strong Schools, Stronger Hillsborough" millage referendum up for vote late August. The proposed one mil will increase salaries to recruit and retain teachers and staff; expand art, music, and physical education; and expand workforce development and workforce education programs. This is an opportunity to voice your support of arts & music education in public school regardless if the referendum passes.

Additionally, we will hear from local program leaders focused on supporting art and music education in our schools. Learn about the Gasparilla Music Festival's Recycled Tunes program, and Tampa Bay Businesses for Culture & Arts' collaboration to bring more awareness to Arts for a Complete Education (ACE).

Space is limited, registration is required.

This event will be held within a museum exhibit space and seating is limited. The new Vinik Family Education Center lobby will be open at 5pm, so come after work, enjoy light refreshments and preview the space. BONUS: The discussion will be held in the Sullivan gallery featuring the work of Purvis Young: Redux.
