Arts at the Lounge - Friday November 14th
Overview
Doors open at 6 pm! Enjoy Food and Drinks and art by our local artists, including Matt Ball and others!
Starting at 7 pm, Studio 42, a local community theater, brings "12 Angry Men" to life at the Lounge for the first time - a 1957 film that portrays the tense deliberation of a jury tasked with deciding the fate of a young man accused of murdering his father. The plot centers on a single, initially reluctant juror (Juror 8) who argues for "reasonable doubt" against the other 11 jurors, who are all quick to vote guilty. The film unfolds over one hot afternoon as Juror 8 meticulously questions the evidence and the other jurors' biases, leading to a compelling drama of conflicting personalities and prejudices as they slowly work toward a unanimous verdict.
Starting at 9 pm, enjoy local Drew Pulliam and band from Nashville! Drew Pulliam is a singer-songwriter from Jonesboro, Arkansas, blending indie-folk and Americana with a fresh, eccentric twist. Influenced by artists like Elton John, Ray LaMontagne, and The Lumineers, his heartfelt storytelling and soulful performances have earned him comparisons to Paul Simon and Caamp. With his distinctive voice and engaging stage presence, Drew is quickly becoming a standout new artist in the Americana scene. Drew recently released his debut album Back of My Mind, produced by Steve Azar and released through Ride Records. Since its release, he has been steadily building a dedicated fan base in Nashville and beyond, earning opening slots for rising Nashville artists and performing at some of the city’s premier venues. He joins us at the Lounge with his full band for the first time!
