Overview

This February join us for a four-part event series exploring how technology shapes trust, intimacy, and control in the digital age.

This February, to mark Safer Internet Day and Valentine’s Day, join us for “Digital Control: Technology-Facilitated Abuse in Modern Relationships”. A four-part event series exploring how technology shapes trust, intimacy, and control in the digital age.

From smart watches to dating apps, the tools we use daily to connect can also be used to harm. Delivered by our specialist Technology Facilitated Abuse and Economic Empowerment team, this series will shine a light on how everyday technologies can be misused in relationships and how we can effectively support survivors of domestic abuse and their children in the modern world.

Part 4 of this event series focuses on the rise of AI companions. This session looks at the growing use of AI companions amongst children and young people. It examines how AI interactions may influence behaviour, trust, and development, and how this may impact or affect survivors of domestic abuse and their children.
