ArtBreak at the Gantt: Dimensions of the Diaspora

By Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture

Overview

Take a break, bring a friend and join us at the Gantt Center for an inspiring midday experience where art meets heritage.

Led by a Gantt Center docent, make the most of your lunch hour with a free, thirty minute guided tour exploring November's theme, " Dimensions of the Diaspora," inspired by the Gantt's current exhibition, Praise House, through the lens of artist, Adama Delphine Fawundu. This tour emphasizes how art, memory, migration, and sacred space intersect to create a constellation of connectedness—generation to generation, continent to continent.

This tour explores the physical and spiritual dimensions of the praise house, a site where history migration and community come together to tell a collective story of belonging across the diaspora.
