Art21 Premiere of "Realms of the Real"

Join Art21 for the public premiere of the newest season of Art in the Twenty-First Century. The second episode, “Realms of the Real,” follows artists Njideka Akunyili Crosby, Ragnar Kjartansson, Candice Lin, and Tomás Saraceno as they push everyday materials and historical truths into the fantastical, absurd, and sublime.

The four internationally acclaimed artists in “Realms of the Real” conduct extensive historical research, examine the nuances of culture and identity, and explore the boundaries of art and science to create worlds of fantasy and fiction that expand our understanding of ourselves and our world.
