Art Speaks: Finding My Way Home

Art Speaks is an ongoing series created by VibrantCast that brings writers and artists together in dialogue. Writers are invited to experience visual art firsthand and create original written pieces inspired by what they see. At each live event, their words are shared aloud, offering audiences a powerful encounter with art through both image and language.
This fall, Art Speaks comes to Woman Made Gallery for a special collaboration. Poets from across Chicagoland will present new pieces written in response to artwork by local artists.
The theme for this edition is Finding My Way Home. “Home” can be interpreted in many ways as presence or absence, comfort or challenge, memory or imagination. Each writer has woven this theme into their work, bringing fresh perspectives to the student artwork on display.
Join us for an afternoon of poetry, art, and conversation, where creativity flows across mediums and perspectives meet in unexpected ways.
