Who’s behind the mask?
Masquerade is a vibrant group exhibition featuring over twenty artists exploring themes of disguise, identity, and imagination.
From playful transformations to quiet reflections of the self, the show invites viewers to consider the masks we wear — both visible and invisible — in our everyday lives.
Presented collaboratively by little lightning. gallery and Neighbors Gallery, Masquerade bridges two creative spaces and communities in Brooklyn.
Across paintings, sculptures, installations, and multimedia works, participating artists reimagine identity through humor, vulnerability, and experimentation — transforming the act of disguise into an expression of truth.
Visitors are encouraged to wander between both venues to experience a full spectrum of interpretations, surprises, and moments of connection.
