Reuben Sinha unveils his art in East Harlem’s newest Art Gallery.
About the Artist:
Reuben Sinha was born in India and moved to Harlem at 8 years old. His work is a sensory mix of colors, textures, and light at play - rooted in the homeland and the neighborhood that shaped him.
Working in the encaustic medium, Reuben creates with depth, warmth, and intuitive presence. Each piece emerges from a space of listening and discovery, often surprising even him. He draws inspiration from the people around him - their emotional textures, personal histories, and the ever-shifting culture of Harlem and NYC.
This closing reception is your final chance to experience the show in person, connect with the artist, and reflect on the stories within each piece. Light refreshments will be served.
Words from the Artist:
“My work is about the internal effects of memory, identity and race politics. Traversing those boundaries, cultures gained and cultures lost, and sensations across time and space are continual themes in my work.” - Reuben Sinha
There will be light refreshments served. The artist will be there in person.
