About this event

Join Halimah, SHARP gallery's current exhibiting artist, as she leads a workshop inspired by the theme 'Art for Change'. Halimah's solo show by this title, consists of works through inspiration from different art movements- confronting timely but also timeless topics, compelling the audience to feel, reflect and act. A Dadaist meditation on genocide, a surrealist vision of homelessness, and a Cubist reflection on climate change sit alongside raw, expressionist works that delve into mental health. The pieces include landscapes depicting nature’s light, movement and stillness. Halimah asks us to hope, reminding us of what still needs protecting-and what is still possible. The visual journey is one acting as the artist’s manifesto for emotional and social awakening.

What to bring: Your imagination and an open mind! This is a very low pressure, no judgement chance to create in company. We look forward to you joining us for a friendly afternoon of painting.
